Camp 9 Steakhouse - steaks, salads, seafood.  Terrific coconut prawns!  Next to Centerville at the Centralia factory outlets.

Olympic Club - a hopping place during Prohibition, it has come back to life. Children are allowed here, too. Play pool while you wait for your meal. Located in the heart of Centralia at 112 N. Tower. Phone: 360-736-5164

Northwest Sausage & Deli - home of Dick's Danger Ale. Check out his web page and click on Visit Dicks Beers for precise directions.  Open Monday through Saturday, 9 - 5.  Located off of Old Hwy 99 between Centralia and Rochester at 5945 Prather Rd. 

Harold's Burger Bar - may be hard to find, but the Husky Burger will make it all worth your while. Probably the best burgers in town. Take out or eat at their picnic tables outside. Located at 727A S. Gold St., Centralia. Phone: 360-736-4491

La Tarasca - the most authentic of all Mexican restaurants in the region. Owned by a local family with roots in Michoacan, Mexico. Closed Tuesdays. Located at 1001 W. Main Centralia. Phone: 360-736-7756.  Read a review.

Casa Ramos - another great place for Mexican food. Take the factory outlet exit at Centralia and go East one block. Phone: 360-330-2045.

Golden Eagle at the Lucky Eagle Casino - Award winning cuisine includes steaks, seafood, buffets, brunches and more. Take exit 88 go west on Hwy 12 to Anderson Road and follow the signs. Phone: 800-720-1788

SHOPPING:

Our Secret Garden - what a charming little country shop! She has candles, antiques, country things in a beautiful setting. Located at 18432 Elderberry St., Rochester. Take exit 88 head west to the stoplight. Turn right and follow Elderberry Street to the stop sign.  Turn left and then follow the curve to the right, you are still on Elderberry.  Open Weds. - Sun.

Centralia Factory Outlets - Jantzen/Lee, Helley-Hansen, Levi, Anchor-Hocking, Pfalzgraff, Legs/Hanes/Bali/Playtex, Socks Galore, Big Dog, London Fog, TShirt Outlet.... I can't name them all!  This website tells you everything you need to know.

Ayala Brothers' Furniture store - downtown Centralia on Tower Avenue.  Beautiful furniture in a historic building.  Check them out!

Downtown Centralia offers lots of antique shopping as well as some good history.

SITES:

Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center - offers helicopter tours of Mt. St. Helens, 2 Mt. St. Helens gift shops and llama rides for children.  The building is mortise-and-tenon solid wood and peg construction, the oldest of its kind on the West Coast since the Mt. Hood Lodge was built in the 40s. Summer hours are;
10am to 4pm Mon.-Thurs. and 10am to 8pm Fri, Sat. and Sun.

Rainbow Falls State Park offers camping, picnic sites, and hiking opportunities.

Wolf Haven has summer evening programs designed for all ages with an interest in wolves.  Each week through Sept. 8, excluding Sept. 1, adults can learn about wolves from all areas of the globe and sample wine from local Washington wineries through the "Wolf Tales:  Wolves Around the World" program.  For families with young children, Saturday evening howl-ins offer education, entertainment and games geared specifically toward families with small children.  This program runs once a week until Sept. 9, excluding Sept. 2, from 6 to 9 pm.  During the day, walking tours are given every hour.  Ticket prices are $6 for children and adults.
